Apparent Calm

Apparent Calm

Everything looks familiar.
Perfectly known, perfectly in place.
There’s rythm in things, in people.
I see the flow as I’m questioning if I want to be part of it.
The more I observe, the stranger those dynamics appear.

So I ask why I’m still gravitating towards it.
Is it an illusion?
Is it a projection?
Probably a dream.
A dream I refuse to wake up from.

It seems everything is in its own place.
Containers are designed to make sense, both phisically and metaphorically.
What happens behind those windows is a completely another story.
A story I can barely touch.
The only grid I share with all of you is time.
Time runs, it doesn’t pass.
And this status of apparent calm is everywhere, it’s real and it’s burning me from the inside.
As I have no control over it.

Music is a privilege.
Composing is a courage act of exposure.
When I write, that’s the only chance I get to launch a signal.
And that signal can be received, resonating then with somebody else.
Somewhere else.
That space I shaped will be our grid to share.
Across time and space.
